MrO I think you need to go and stand in the corner and think about your attitude LOL;)

Quite honestly whether I get to go slide or not I have to believe that I will at this point. That and PB (bless him) are the only things keeping me sane at the moment.

I think season pass holders will get xx days(enough to make it value) and you will have to nominate those days (in advance) so they know how many other day tickets they can sell to make it viable for them to open

Hmmm what about instead of early choice, a certain allocation is open to season pass only on short notice? That would please the working locals who can decide the night before?

I'm pretty encouraged by the low 12% as a hard no.

I think though that if there is only a small allocation, there won't be any left by the night before unless midweek maybe

Stuck in Singapore. Unless international travel restrictions are eased to the point that allows recreational travel with no quarantine, we are going nowhere. We will watch from afar with hope that you all managed to get as many day tickets as you desire.

One request. Many trip/day reports with lots of photos please!

During the last few months, my wife has suffered most from isolation. I've been able to go to work, but she has spent most of the time stuck at home.
And with the probable restrictions on numbers at the resorts, I have decided that instead of indulging myself with a snow trip, she doesn't ski or board, I will instead invest in a few long weekends away for the 2 of us.

Will all depend on what they come up with for people who have “locked themselves in” for a season pass.

Although I think we all have a better shot at naming state premiers around the country now due to seeing them on the news every day for the briefings.

Yes and how many of the “don’t ski Australia” crew will change their tune this year when it’s possible there won’t be a Northern season for us due to travel restrictions...

Lots of hope being pinned on season passes providing exclusive offers when none of the information available indicates this will be part of the ticketing strategy.

    Interesting times.

$160 a day ticket and a vague dialogue on "buy more for a discount".

Didn't get a season pass this year, been doing less and less in the resort (my social distancing kicked in a few years ago in regards to boarding close to others) over the last five years. Having the season pass gave the flexibility of when and how long you boarded, some days, one or two runs and gonski, either BC thru Karels, DHG or home. The alternative was to do 10+ days on the single ride BC and elsewhere.
Looks like this year I'll be filling out many TIs for elsewhere.

I am not hoping on it, i was buying day tickets this season regardless.

I am actually chuffed. Didn't think i would be skiing this year, but now i might get in a lot of days (don't care the cost TBH) and low numbers!

Signed my contract today. No idea if I'll only be working or if I'll be able to get some free skiing in. Otherwise this was going to be a Nordic and BC year for me.

If we do it will prob be early Sept. Fortunately the kids can ski with us these days. In fact sometimes its a struggle to keep up with Miss 14. So maybe a mid-week Thredbo late-season trip if lift passes are available and the snow is decent.

The more I think about it, the more I realise the snow is the excuse for many other things for me - camping in the Alpine region, the wildlife, catching up with other diehard snow enthusiasts, looking for land upon which to settle and watching other people have fun. Yep, definitely coming, just not sure about when, for how long or any other details this season!

i've still got 2 weeks booked at husky at start of Dec. if I can't go skiing I might head up there in July for a short break too. as long as the vincentia butcher and some good fish & chip shops are open and I can get coffee from 5 little pigs ...

This will be the first time in16 years that I won't be making the weekly drive to Perisher from Sydney. I can't say I'll miss the drive. But like @gareth_oau , I look forward to saving a dollar or two....to be put away for the skiing futures fund.

    Undecided in-season.
Hotham restricting car entry and on the day passes and making my 'drop everything for a big dump' mantra less possible.
Going to make side country access difficult.
I'm time poor so Hotham area my go to for that :(
